This is for you.
I have spent twenty-seven years in the Nigerian film industry. In that time, I have lived on film sets, walked more red carpets than I can count, appeared across the pages of magazines, and worn countless beautiful things. My style has grown with me, and somewhere along the way I stopped resisting a simple truth: fashion is part of who I am.
It is my inheritance from my mother, God rest her soul. I still remember watching her get ready for an evening out with my father. The way she could take the simplest pieces, put them together, and somehow look fabulous always had me gasp in admiration. She taught me, without saying it, that elegance is not about how much you own. It is about intention and knowing yourself. This platform is how I carry that lesson, and her legacy, forward.
Putting a look together is the closest thing I know to the joy of acting, and there is something deeply moving about building something that carries my name, my vision, and my standards. Every piece is shaped by me, alongside designers and artists I choose myself, with the utmost care. My hope is simply that you feel seen in whatever you wear from RDG. That it becomes your favourite thing to reach for in your wardrobe, not because it is trendy, but because it is right for YOU.
This is just the beginning, and we are starting small on purpose. Our first release is a T-shirt line featuring the art of Jay Anton De Paris, pieces I genuinely love. Just like my mother taught me, they are proof that something simple, worn with intention, can be extraordinary. Each design is made in a limited run, so if one speaks to you, claim it while it lasts. There will not be more.
My dream is for RDG to grow into something extraordinary and for you to look back one day and smile, knowing you were here when it all began. Thank you for walking this road with me. I love you all.
